Oklahoma

Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II

This production of “Oklahoma” included 22 wireless body mics, along with a 13 piece orchestra on a platform that jutted out into the house.  I came on board relatively late in the process and found a beautiful and well designed theater that hadn’t been used for musicals in over a decade.  Working with the faculty and students, we rented and borrowed everything needed to get us up to speed.  I would also be handing this show off to a faculty member to mix who had recording experience, but had never worked in live theater.  Through careful planning and board programming, I was able to setup a show that could comfortably be left in his capable hands while still ensuring a great mix.

I’ve included some small snippets of some of my paperwork from the planning and preparation for this production.
