Marcus Lovett / AUMC Chancel Choir
"Gesu Bambino"
I had the opportunity to work with actor and performer Marcus Lovett on a song for his album "Music of the Night Before Christmas." He enlisted the Chancel Choir of Fort Worth's Arborlawn United Methodist Church to sing along with him on one of the tracks. His studio was in NY, so I was brought in to record the choir in AUMC's beautiful sanctuary. I took detailed measurements and pictures of the 8 microphones that were used to record the choir, and then sent that along with the tracks to the studio in NY to be mixed in. To top it off, Mr. Lovett put on a concert with the choir a few weeks later at AUMC and I had the opportunity to mix.
Jay Armstrong Johnson and Amanda Williams Ware
"Stay"
When Jay Armstrong Johnson (Broadway's "On The Town" and "Phantom of the Opera", TV's "Quantico") came to town and wanted to record a cover of Rihanna's "Stay" along with a music video, I jumped at the chance. I worked with videographer Chase York to prepare the stage at the Scott Theater for his visuals, as well as for the best recording quality. We then simultaneously recorded multiple takes of audio of Mr. Johnson along with Amanda Williams Ware, while simultaneously recording various angles for the music video. The final mixes and edits are currently being finished up, so check back soon to see and hear the finished product!
